Our move to Vermont

Well we have been settled for about two weeks in Burlington, Vermont and decided it was time to start a blog. We have had a difficult time with the move. We are all a little home sick for New Orleans, especially Mike; although we have nothing to complain about (now). Initially we just couldn't find a place and had to stay at a Holiday Inn. That was very frustrating, but I am glad for the wait because we now have a great little place. Mike has about a 10 min. drive to the hospital and Gretchen and I have a sweet setup at home. The apartment itself is very spacious with lots of room to kick a ball or dance. We also have a full 2 acres of property to play on. We are living in a basement apartment and the landlord lives upstairs. They are a couple close to our age with a little boy who is 11 months. Gretchen and I took a hike with Cari and Jack (Landlady and son) just yesterday. It's great to have friends upstairs. The weather is beautiful and we are so happy with our situation!

Hi Krissy, Mike and Gretchen!

Thanks so much for sharing your cute pictures and news with us! This
is a great way to stay in touch! Is there a way to respond to you on
the blog? I tried to add a comment somehow, but couldn't figure it out.
I guess I'm not as computer literate as you are, Kristin! I wouldn't
even have a clue how to start a blog! Anyway, I'm glad that you guys
have been able to procure such a nice home and acreage to go with it!
That has always been an important thing for my kids. Gretchen will
soon be running around as much as all her crazy cousins here in Colorado!
We miss you guys! We look forward to seeing more pictures of
everyone, especially the cutest member of the family, and no, Mike I'm sorry
that is not you! :)

Love, Denise and family
(Kristin added this from an e-mail. Thanks Denise for pointing out that the comment link was not working!)

Pretty sweet apartment and living conditions. Love the green expansive lawn in the back! Gretchen is soooo cute in her piggy tails. Can she say Grandma? If not, teach her right away.
